APA Admits Ghostwriting, Prints Corrected Textbook Cover...
...in a fantasy world, that is.
The first version is the "corrected" Nemeroff/Schatzberg cover, followed by the current cover. Thanks to John Nardo, who corrected the inaccurate attributions on one of his recent blog postings.
Announcement: Where to Find the New Carlat Psychiatry Blog
Although I am taking a sabbatical from The Carlat Psychiatry Report and its blog, both publications live on and continue to thrive. The blog has now merged with Steve Balt's Thought Broadcast Blog, and Carlat Publishing now produces three separate continuing education newsletters: The flagship Carlat Psychiatry Report, The Carlat Child Psychiatry Report, and the new Carlat Behavioral Health Report, which focuses on evidence-based psychotherapy. Happy reading!

About Dr. Carlat
I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Newburyport, Massachusetts and an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts Medical School (but note that the opinions expressed in this blog are not those of Tufts). I graduated from the psychiatric residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995, and am the founder and former editor of The Carlat Psychiatry Report, a monthly CME newsletter. As of March 2012, I have taken an open-ended sabbatical from Carlat Publishing in order to take on a new job as the director of the Pew Prescription Project in Washington DC.

This would have been a great April Fool's Day joke!
Ah but if it were really honest it would have to be retitled as well.
